Hair at Home Brides Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is a deposit required?
A. We request a $50.00 deposit within 14 days of your trial to reserve a stylist for your wedding. This is deducted from the total price on your wedding day.

Q. Can we add extra services to the wedding party?
A. Yes, but let us know as soon as possible so we can rearrange starting times or an extra stylist to assist on the day.

Q. What other services does Hair at Home provide?
A. Hair at Home provides a complete range of hair and beauty services, ranging for cutting and colouring, to nails and waxing.

Q. When should I wash my hair?
A. If you are having an upstyle you should wash you hair the night before the wedding. This makes the hair easier to style and gives a better result.

Q. When should I get my hair cut??
A. Have a hair cut the week before, but only a trim to tidy up the ends. We need as much hair as possible for styling.

Q. Should I give my hair a treatment to night before?
A. No. This makes the hair too soft to style.

Q. What type of Hair Accessories should we use?
A. This is ultimately up to you, but there is a nice range of diamante hair gems available. Your stylist will have some suggestions.

Q. What type of flowers should we get for our hair?
A. Talk to your florist about flowers hardy enough to last all day, and to withstand all the hair spray. Our only requirement is that is any flowers going into the hair be wired (at least 5cm long), and taped so that the bobby pins don't break the stems.

Q. What type of make up do you use?
A. We only use professional lines and vendors such as: MAC, Maybelline, Dior, and Max Factor.

Q. When should I have a facial?
A. A facial is a nice idea, but should be done no closer than 2 weeks before your wedding day to avoid any puffiness or redness in the skin.

Q. What about waxing?
A. Waxing should be done two days before the wedding so we don't have any redness on your skin.

Q. When is the best time to do my nails?
A. The night before. Make sure you allow 2 hours for them to dry before going to bed.
